Di Dixon has sold hundreds of properties, both residential, lifestyle and rural, in the highlands and down into Kangaroo Valley.  She’s also been in and visited quite a few more too.  Having lived here for over 30 years, both professionally and personally, Di is pretty well known and it would be a rare day that she does not bump into someone she knows in town or out and about in the villages.  The connections run deep as well, through Di’s art, working for a local lifestyle publisher for some years and as National Advertising Manager on the iconic Australian Country Style in the early days of living here.  It really is a matter of what you know and who you know for Di!

Now, officially, a “local” Di and her local knowledge are often sought out for all manner of helpful information.  Information that helps newcomers settle in and become part of this amazing community.  While the southern highlands is a fairly large geographic area, it is comprised of numerous villages, all of which offer a sense of community that truly makes this a special place.  Which, considering Bowral itself, is only 115 kilometres from Sydney, is incredible and probably why so many Sydneysiders and others are keen for that experience, there is also a craving for the space, the glittering starry night skies and the sweet air.  A heady combo that is a reality, not a fantasy.
